Frequently Asked Questions
Why Vermont Covered Bridge Traveler’s Guide?
While there are many books and resources on the Vermont Covered Bridges, there is not a comprehensive FREE guidebook that is distributed at the Vermont Welcome Centers. “Where are the covered bridges’” is the most asked question at both the Welcome Centers and many local tourist information centers. We want to answer that question with a comprehensive, beautiful and clearly presented book that gets into the hands of 10,000 visitors.
How much does Vermont Covered Bridge Traveler’s Guide cost?
This full-color, 68-page guidebook is distributed free as it is an advertiser-based publication. While ‘advertising’ sometimes gets a bad rap, it provides additional, curated information that travelers want and need. The main distribution points are the Vermont Welcome Centers. Select other locations may be available, depending on underwriting support.
When will Vermont Covered Bridge Traveler’s Guide be released?
This is the 2026 inaugural edition of Vermont Covered Bridge Traveler’s Guide, and we hope to get it into the Vermont Welcome Centers for foliage. However, there is the caveat that we are looking for enough support to cover printing and distribution costs, so this date may change, and we will update this information as we engage with potential supporters of this publication.
What is the cost to help underwrite the Vermont Covered Bridge Traveler’s Guide?
The minimum ad size is 1/3 page for $500. You may also purchase a 2/3 page ad for $750, and a full-page ad for $1000. A limited number of cover pages are available, and the back page advertiser gets to weigh in on what bridge goes on the front cover (Our mockup shows the Pine Brook Bridge in my hometown of Waitsfield!).
